The library has long been an important feature of the Canada Centre for Inland Waters. It was among the earliest components of the research institute when it was founded in 1968. CCIW has always housed components of the Department of the Environment and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
The Library's primary mandate is to provide scientific and technical information services to all staff at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters. The library is also available to staff from other government organizations, consulting firms and students and faculty from local universities and colleges.
We are located in Burlington at 867 Lakeshore Road, at the base of the Skyway Bridge.
